Business meets innovation
Both sponsors, Energie Wasser Bern (EWB) and CSL Behring AG, have supported the Bernese Award for Environmental Research since 2010. Together, they are a successful Bernese team which, by supporting these issues in the field of environment and sustainability, enable the targeted promotion of young talent and a multifaceted culture of innovation. Through the generous support of the co-sponsors, the Bernese Award for Environmental Research is financially secured until 2022.

CSL Behring AG invests continually in innovative, energy-saving technologies and measures aimed at sustainable improvement of environmental performance. “Careful use of resources and minimization of emissions are very important to us. We have many projects underway that embody sustainable action on behalf of an energy transition. For Energie Wasser Bern the sustainable use of resources is in the foreground. The company is looking for new renewable energy sources and innovative technologies, and to further develop these. It is particularly active in the field of solar and wind energy as well as in electric mobility and the introduction of biogas.
